Educational Outreach
Research Experience for Undergraduates
Both OU and UA have ongoing NSF funded Research Experience for Undergraduates
programs that are supplemented with additional research positions in materials
science and engineering from CSPIN funds. These nine week summer programs
are aimed at upper level students who have not yet graduated. They pay
a substantial salary for students to engage in mentored research over
the summer and to attend regular seminars that discuss topics in modern
physics, careers in industry and academia, and provide professional development.
