Learning Goals: Desired outcomes for use of the item, such as information learned, skills practiced, etc.
Target Student Audience: For example, Primary, Secondary, Lower Level Undergrad, ... Several can be listed where appropriate.
Prerequisite Knowledge Expected: Background knowledge and skills students should have to effectively use the item.
Object Type: Form of the learning object, such as website/html, java applets, images, shockwave, etc.
Recommended Use(s): Functional use of the object, such as Lecture/demo, Tutorial,Drill and Practice, Simulations, Homework, etc. The use(s) listed here are used in the "Potential Effectiveness for Teaching and Learning" review below.
Technical Issues: Any technical problems that might occur in using the item.

Rating - 1 - 5 This is a general rating for the item. If not given, an average of the three ratings below is used.

Quality of Content:

Rating - 1 - 5

Feature(s) of Excellence: The best features of the item related to Content should be listed here. This might include the importance of the material for physics or the clear way in which it is presented. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

Feature(s) of Concern: Potentially problematic issues related to Content should be listed here. This might include physics not included in the material or being limited in use. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

Potential Effectiveness for Teaching and Learning:

Feature(s) of Excellence: The best features of the item related to Effectiveness should be listed here. This might include the potential for active engagement by students or immediate feedback. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

Feature(s) of Concern: Potentially problematic issues related to Effectiveness should be listed here. This might include a need for additional materials for student use or the material will not keep student's attention. Any uses that the object is particularly not suited for should be listed here as well. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

Feature(s) of Excellence: The best features of the item related to Usability should be listed here. This might include online help for students or a well designed user interface. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

Feature(s) of Concern: Potentially problematic issues related to Usability should be listed here. This might include a confusing user interface or a need for additional instructions. For more information, see the Evaluation Criteria.

General Comments:

This is space for additional comments about the material not included in the reviews above. These are comments will be included with the review posted on MERLOT.
