Teaching Experience

In the Fall of 2014, I was hired as the full-time physics instructor at Midland College in Midland, TX. While I continue my doctoral research at OU, I teach algebra- and calculus-based physics, physical science, and the occasinal astronomy class.

From the Fall of 2012 to Fall 2013, I served as a graduate teaching assistant for ASTR 1514 - Astronomy: Exploring the Universe with Laboratory. In these labs, students receive an introduction to astronomy, and hands-on experience with our maually-operated Celestar 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.

In the Spring of 2014, I was honored to receive an inaugural Provost’s Certificate of Distinction for Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teaching for the Fall 2013 semester. The recipients represent the to 10 percent of all graduate teaching assistants across campus by student evaluations.
