Dodge Physics Complex & Lin Hall Dedication, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00am

Funded from gifts by the Avenir Foundation and Dr. Chun C. Lin, the Dodge Physics Complex will be comprised of the new Chun C. Lin Hall and Nielsen Hall. Chun C. Lin Hall will add more than 18,000 square feet of world-class research laboratory space for the Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy. This new facility will be one of only a few buildings in the world to meet the NIST-A requirements on vibrations, temperature and humidity, as well as electromagnetic interference.

Celebratory activities for the Dodge Physics Complex and Lin Hall Dedication will begin on Friday evening with our guest speaker, Dr. Timothy Gay, in Nielsen Hall, Room 170 on October 12, 2018 at 7:30 P.M. Dedication activities will continue on Saturday, October 13, 2018 on the on the South Oval at 10:00 A.M. with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a reception, tours of the complex. Our celebration will conclude with The Road to Excellence Gala honoring the Avenir Foundation and Dr. Chun C. Lin on Saturday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History.
