mtDNA -- Maternal Line |
| Mitochondrial DNA is passed from the mother to all of her children. It is used for maternal line research. The mtDNA does not mutate as rapidly as the Y-DNA and therefore not as useful for tracing lineage. However, I recommend the test for everyone. |
