P18 and P26 match on 32 of 32 markers. Their DNA analysis was performed by different labs, and there is a difference in reporting values from different labs. Both have the same three values for the DYS 464 series, 14, 15, 17. One lab reports two copies of 15, the other lab does not attempt to determine whether a value has multiple copies. We are confident these two men share a common ancestor. P18 has John PARKER b 1829 in Georgia, died after 1890 in Coosa Co. Al, and wife Rebecca PODY, as his oldest PARKER ancestors. The oldest ancestor of P26 is Lewis PARKER, b 1809 TN, and wife Mary Ann SHELTON GENTRY. These lines had not suspected a relationship before the DNA test, and this match has given them new areas and names to include in their search.
