Backgound information.
My grandfather Joseph Faulkner Parker was born 7 April 1841 in Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri. His father Thomas Bryant Parker was born 1 October 1797 (or 15 October 1798) in Grayson County, Virgina. We know the date and place of birth of Thomas and all of his children from a letter written by Martha Ann Nelson (spouse: Thomas Bryant Parker) to her mother June 22, 1851. Our family have been looking for the parents of Thomas Bryant Parker for more than 100 years.
An email quote from Ray Parker.
"Our Parkers owned a lot of land and seemed to have moved around at the drop of a hat from place to place in their early days in the U.S. This has created a difficult task for us who delve into Parker Family Genealogy. All of my other families have been much easier than the Parkers from a work standpoint. Getting the Parkers back to C1775 has been an arduous task and there is no way to insure the accuuracy of my document in many areas" . Email from Ray Parker dat 8 November 2001.
We will add new information soon. See the Parker DNA Project home page and the results page.
