Daniel Parker was an elocutionist and loved the theater. He also loved songs and poems that rhymed. This is one of the verses that he wrote to his youngest sons at the birth of his first son Harold Parker Junior on 26 April 1906.
At the time Harold Daniel's youngest son was living in California with his wife Genevieve Tidwell Parker. This verse was found among some of Harold's cherished papers after his death on 11 Nov 1985, by his daughter Patricia Parker Askerland. It is now owned by his son Walter Parker the 6th of the Harold's children. At this time he lives in Salt Lake City Utah. Suzanne Hansen
This is a picture of Daniel Delory and his wife Glady Bell Wolfe and their children Mary Louise Parker and Morris Wolfe Parker. Taken in San Francisco Califfornia in about 1936. Daniel was the oldest son of Daniel Parker son of Joshua and Drucilla D. Dixon Parker of Salt Lake City Utah.
Daniel Delory's profession was that of a master house painter by trade and had to travel great distances to provide for his family. He was very skilled at painting and had learned how to mix paint with natural elements to change the color of the paint to match the decor of his clients homes. He used lead paint, and always kept his paint brushes in top condition, so that every job was done to the satisfaction of is clients. He felt his work was a work of art and he took great pride in doing it right. Suzanne Hansen
