In 1925 as listed in the obituary of Ralph Parker who died in Lawrence, Kansas, Julius Parker and wife are living in Wichita, Kansas, Martha Parker at Crutchfield, NC, Sarah Parker at Mt. Nebo, NC, John Parker in Greensboro, NC and George Martin Noah Parker in Mt Holly, SC.

Parker is living in the Jesse and Sarah Williams household, Mary Parker is living in the Henry and Elizabeth Martin household, Amanda Parker is living in the William and Mary Miller household all in the East Bend Township. George May Parker on the 1880 Census is living in his mother Kesiah Parker’s household in the Fall Creek Township. We could not locate James H. Parker on the 1880 Census, but he lists his parents as George and Elizabeth Parker for his marriage record as does Amanda Parker on her marriage record..

Burial burial Union Hill Methodist Church for James H. Parker, Sarah Shore Parker, Amanda Parker Poindexter and Sarah Ann Parker Poindexer. Two unmarked graves are beside of James H. Parker and Family, this is were we believe George May Parker and Wife Elizabeth Shore Parker are buried. J. J. Poindexter was John J. Poindexter age 47 household 1165 on the 1850 Surry Co. Census report with wife Martha age 27, also in the household Elizabeth Chin age 73 and Sarah Kerr age 68. We believe that Sarah Ann Parker b. 1841 married one of John J. Poindexter’s older brothers Edward James b. 1843 or Charles Allison Poindexter b. 1845. Some of these Poindexters moved to Texas, John J. Poindexter died in Wyahachie, Texas 12/25/1881 we assume he moved there with his son John Emsley M. to Louise Caladonia Braly, he died in 1915 in Texas. Yadkin County deeds indicate that Enoch and Elizabaeth Shore moved to Illinois.

Note: Thomas Franklin Adams was involved in the Bond School House Shootout inYadkin County NC. between the Home Guard and those who did not want to fight in the Civil War, after two of his friends were killed in the shootout he fled to Tennessee and joined the Union Forces there. He attained the rank of 2 nd Lieutenant before the end of the war. He died 7/12/1914 in the Los Angeles County Hospital. Thomas Franklin Adams was married possibly 3 times after the death of Caroline Lakey. Frederick (Fred) Adams SS # 555-07-594 lived to be 96 years old short of the 98 ½ years of his half brother Hamilton Lewis Adams.

Much of this information was transcribed by Budd Adams from Newton Adams’ Family History Letter written in his own hand. The deaths of a wife and four children above cannot begin to describe the disasters that befell Newton Adams. His house burned in Muncie, Ind. Yet he lived to be eighty-five years old and was remembered for his positive and cheerful disposition. As noted he did a great deal of traveling from place to place. All the dates are approximate, Newton Adams was not particular about recording dates.

Note much information on this Family came from Abigail Adams’ Grandson Alvin Caudle as well as from Elam Jesse (Tobe) Caudle who recorded much of his family history. Jackson Caudle used his Grandfather Jesse Adams’ old forge, he was a blacksmith also and passed it down to his present descendants. This forge is close to two hundred years old and still works.
