Graphene: Adventures of a Condensed Matter Experimentalist with "High
Energy" Physics
Presented by Yong Chen, Purdue University
Graphene is one atomic layer of graphite and the building block of
many carbon nano materials such as nanotubes. A highly-tunable quantum
material with many unique properties and potentials in various
applications, graphene has generated tremendous interests in
nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this talk, I will discuss several
research topics exploring the physics and applications of such a
nanoscale material, exploiting or leading to interesting connections
with particle or nuclear physics on both conceptual and experimental
levels.
