This will hopefully become a complete list of former faculty, students, post-docs and staff from our department. If you are not listed and wish to be, or if our information about you is incorrect, please fill out our information form. The date the information was last modified for a person is at the end of the data on them. Please understand that we have no mechanism to keep this information up-to-date except as received from our alumni, so let us know of any updates. If the alumnus has a web page, the name is a link to it.
You might also be interested in our newsletter which is now published once a year. Note that it formerly typically had a section on 'Alumni News'. For your convenience, here are shortcuts to those 'Alumni News' sections of our newsletter. It now has a section called 'Alumni Report', but we can't make links into the new PDF format, so look for it!
We have received some pictures from Tom Miller and have started an alumni photo gallery. Hopefully, this will grow larger. There is also a photo with names tagged taken of former Nielsen students/graduates at the Nielsen testimonial in 1965.
We have a few links to historical documents here. First, we have the transcript of a lecture by Niels Bohr given in our department in 1957 (digital form submitted to us by Tom Miller). We also have a (very large) PDF version of this as scanned from the copy in the History of Science Collections at the University of Oklahoma. You may wish to visit the History of Science archives for both Bohr and Nielsen.
